BA(Music), GDipMusThy, Registered Music Therapist

In 1998, Monica graduated from a Bachelor of Arts (Music) and then went on to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Therapy, both at University of Queensland. Since registering as  a Music Therapist in 2000, Monica has worked closely with children with special needs, children in hospital and in the community through the  Sing & Grow project and her private practice.

Since 2000, Monica has planned and implemented programs for hundreds of children with special needs accessing a variety of services on the Gold Coast, Queensland, including:

  • Arundel Special Education Unit
  • Burleigh Special Education Developmental Unit
  • Miami Special Education Unit
  • Labrador Special Education Unit
  • Musgrave Hill Special Education Program
  • Musgrave Hill Early Childhood Developmental Program
  • Mudgeeraba Special Education Unit
  • Robina Special Education Class
  • Southport Special School

She has also worked at

  • Royal Children’s Hospital within the Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service
  • Multicap (a day facility for adults with disabilities)
  • Nursing homes

Monica is an approved early intervention provider for children with Autism under the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, Helping Children with Autism funding scheme. She belongs to both Shaping Outcomes’ & Autism Gold Coast’s consortium of therapists.

Monica is on the founding committee of Everyone Deserves Music Inc. .



BMus, GDipMusThy, Registered Music Therapist

Lou graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Flute) from University of New England in 1995.  She then went on to combine her love of music, people, community and wellbeing by studying a Graduate Diploma of Music Therapy at University of Melbourne, becoming a Registered Music Therapist in 2001.

Lou is mum to two gorgeous boys and has been working as a Music Therapist for 8 years, in various fields; however, she particularly loves and sees the enormous benefits of using music in early childhood intervention and development.   Lou is a Session Leader for Playgroup QLD’s Sing & Grow program and is available for individual music therapy for young children.  Lou also shares her compassion by volunteering on the World Vision Kids Hope Mentoring program in a local primary school.

Amongst Lou’s other roles and experiences, she has been teaching English as a Second Language in Japan and Australia to both children and adults for the past 8 years.

With over 14 years experience working with children in various roles, Lou is thrilled to be the session leader for our Labrador and Coomera Springs groups in 2016 and the entertainer for Music with Monica birthday parties.




BMus, MMusThy, Registered Music Therapist

Eliza graduated with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Voice from the Griffith University Conservatorium in 2011, however knowing that she wanted to combine her love of music with health and wellbeing she went on to study a Masters in Music Therapy at the University of Queensland, becoming a Registered Music Therapist at the end of 2013.

Eliza has clinical experience working in a number of fields however her passion lies within early intervention, special needs and children’s development. Eliza works as a Registered music therapist in a special education unit on the Gold Coast, and is also available for individual sessions.

Along side Eliza’s Music Therapy work, Eliza also teaches young teenagers singing, and is also the Vocalist for Funk Factory, a Gold Coast based jazz Big Band. Eliza believes the wide variety of work she is involved in, enables her to bring more creativity to her Music with Monica work. Eliza is currently on leave to have her first baby.




BMus, M.MusThy – Registered Music Therapist

Brooke graduated from a Bachelor of Music at the Newcastle Conservatorium in 2006, with classical voice as her primary instrument. After many years living abroad she returned, assured of her passion to support the health and well-being of others through an avenue we all know and love – Music! In 2015, she received her Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne and is now a Registered Music Therapist. 

Brooke embraces music’s unique ability to create opportunities for growth and development and is passionate about working collaboratively with individuals and their families to best support their own goals. Brooke is also an NDIS Registered Provider and has clinical experience in a number of areas such as Community and Acute Mental Health, Aged Care and Early Intervention.
In her most important role yet, Brooke is mum to one delightful little girl who keeps her singing and dancing all day long! When she’s not sharing music with her tiny human, she’s making music with her other half and jamming with friends. Brooke is leading our Casuarina Music Early Learning Programs from Term 4, 2017 and will take over from Eliza, in Palm Beach, midway through Term 4, when Eliza is due to have her second baby.
